Friends “just happen,” right?

Well, sometimes. But maintaining a friendship through the up and down times can be one of the best and toughest things that you—and the kids in your ministry—will ever do!

That’s why we’re excited to offer an entire series this June and July on what it means to be a good friend, and the tools God has given us to make it happen. For nine weeks, we’ll explore all the “one anothers” that add up to our two-month Life App:

Friendship: treating others the way you want to be treated.

Which means that friends…

love (1 John 4:10-11)
welcome (1 Peter 4:9)
teach (1 Peter 4:9)
are patient with (Ephesians 4:2)
serve (Galatians 5:13b)
accept (Romans 15:7, Romans 12:16)
and encourage (1 Thessalonians 5:11)

…one another. And even worship together! (Hebrews 10:24-25)

You’ll note that every Scripture is a principle instead of a story. That’s why we’ve created an epic adventure to span all nine weeks, the saga of four unlikely friends who discover God’s key truths about friendship through their quest to uncover what’s on the other side of a tall, mysterious fence in the woods.

We’ve also created additional resources to make this summer the friendship adventure of a lifetime. These products will be available in the Orange Store in the next couple of weeks:

  • The 252 Story video for June and July has the entire story with original artwork, fantastic voice actors, and an amazing storyteller.  Look for this video product on Feature Presentation DVD, the Parent CUE app, and Studio252.tv.

  • Our widget, the Friend Pix chain. Each chain comes with nine guitar picks that list the individual principle for the week. Kids can get a new pick to add to their chain each week as they memorize the verse!

  • Over the Fence, a nine-week story and devotional for kids. This book adapts the video story into weekly episodes for kids to read, along with devotional material for the entire week. It’s a fantastic tool for keeping your kids and families on track, even when they can’t attend every week during the summer.

  • The summer CUE Box continues the Friendship theme and includes an 11×16-inch poster and nine collectable story cards that connect with the summer’s epic adventure.

We’re so excited for you and the kids in your ministry to get going on this friendship adventure!

Are you ready?
