Deuteronomy 6:7, NIV:
“Impress them upon your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”

The Bible says we are to impress the Word of God upon our children not just on Sunday, but every day. Not just once a day, but multiple times a day.

How do we, the busy people that we are, find time in our day to impress the Word of God upon our children? The key is to not “find” the time, but to intentionally use the time we already have.

That is why the First Look curriculum provides Parent Time and Small Talk cards for parents. By sending these cards home either weekly or monthly, you are helping parents use Play Time, Car Time, Bath Time, and Cuddle Time to reinforce the learning they had at church. You’re not asking parents to do something extra. You’re helping them to be strategic about using times they are already with their children.

Are you sending home the Parent Time and Small Talk cards? What feedback have you received?
