’Tis the season to be thankful, and one of the things I’m very thankful for (as ridiculous as it may sound) is none other than Pinterest! I can hear you now: “Is she serious? You have GOT to be kidding me?” Before you stop reading because of my lack of love for all things important, let me just tell you why Pinterest made the thankful list.

One of the things I love the most about my Pinterest account is my board called, “To Pin to First Look.” Why? Because it’s where I, and all of our curriculum writers, get the inspiration for a lot of the activities that we create and write for you to enjoy in the First Look curriculum. Yes, you heard me correctly! ALL of our writers have Pinterest boards, and when we get together to brainstorm and talk First Look, those boards get referenced more times than you could ever imagine! (We may or may not have contests to see who can come up with the most pins for a particular month but that’s a story for another day!)

So, why are we so Pinterest crazy around here? First, it’s because we have found that it’s one of the BEST ways we can get our vision for a particular craft to you. Let’s face it, some of our activities—as creative as they are—can sometimes be a little confusing without an example to reference visually. And second, it’s a great place for you to find tutorials for many of the things that we reference in the curriculum like dying pasta or making your own play dough! And even better than that, all of this crafty madness has been organized for you! It can ALL be found in one place.  Amazing, right?!

If you haven’t checked out our Pinterest page yet, you should go do it now! At the moment, it’s bubbling over with all things Christmas on our December board. You can find great how-to videos on our Tutorials board as well as great ways to use First Look as centers on our Center’s Approach board. And those are just a handful of things that we’re offering!

So, go check it out! You may be excited by what you find, and who knows you may become a Pinterest lover just like us!
